Sunday, July 6th, 2014
|Good evening everyone. As the thunder is rumbling outside I thought it would be a good time to pass on a few things to remember this week.
1. This Sunday (July 6th) things will be as normal (10 am worship). Rev. Bill Acker will be preaching and officiating the Lord’s Supper. Bill lives in Appleton and supervises the LAMP Seminary program. July 13th Chris Steinbarger will be preaching. Chris lives in Green Bay and is licensed to preach in the Presbytery but since he is not ordained quite yet there will not be Communion that week.
2. But back to this week…July 6th is our potluck Sunday! I’m sad to miss that but contact Christine if you have any questions.
3. It is late notice, and most of you have regular jobs that would prevent such plans, but there is a really strong chance I will be watching the US’s World Cup match on the big screen at the church tomorrow (Bigger than life size soccer match). Feel free to join me at 3. I should warn you that the commentary will be in Spanish. Univision online is the only way to watch it for free…let me know if you plan to swing by.
4. Finally, the Spencers fly south on Friday. If you have any pastoral needs while I’m gone be sure and contact Gary, Bob or Daryl.
I guess that is it for this week. Thanks for the chance to sneak off for a bit. If I don’t see you before, I look forward to seeing you when we get back home!
